April 2021 Meeting Notes

The meeting was brought to order by President Ritchie Farrell. The minutes were read with a correction of Chris Stupka’s quote included replacing lights and wiring. Treasurer Brenda Lagasse reported the checking and savings.

Laura Hansen reported that it will be 6-8 weeks before we hear back from the Community Foundation Grant or the Wind Farm Grant.

Eric Voss hasn’t had a chance to talk to the FFA about a High School Rodeo in 2022.

The Open Horse Show will be July 31.

Rodeo
Liz Parde agreed to head the concession stand. Ticket prices went up to Adult $10 advance ($12 at the gate) and Child $5 advance ($8 at the gate).

Rick Croisant needs the area around the arena smoothed out after the Optimus Sale tore it up. Ron Erickson will bring a 3-point box blade to fill in the ruts.

Board of Director need to meet and review to project list. 

Eric Voss suggested replacing the wood bleacher with either aluminum or recycled tire to allow disinfecting the surfaces, the funds for this could be from Cloud County’s COVID Relief Fund.

Activities

Youth Buckle Series
Walk/Trot participants get participation prizes and T-shirt. Buckles for the other divisions will be awarded at the Annual Meeting.

Work Night April 20 at 6:30 p.m. and then every other Tuesday after that. 

May Play Day is May 22 at 2:00 p.m.

Equine Dentist in June needs to reschedule.

Ice Cream Social and Meeting will be July 3 at 9:00 p.m.

Breakaway Roping Clinic working on a date.
