June 2021 Meeting Notes

The June Meeting was called to order by VP Eric Voss on Tuesday, June 1, at 7:30 pm.

The Secretary’s report was approved as read. The Treasurer’s report was approved as read.

Old Business:

                The memorial bench for Gerald Campbell will cost approximately $300.

                Eric has ordered the buckles for the Queen Contest and the Buckle Series.

                Jason Wheeler will start the Lighting Project when materials arrive.

New Business:

                A gate in the back pens is being welded and repaired.

                Richie has repaired the springtooth and it is ready to use.

Rick has the numbers ready for the signs north and south of town.

Rodeo and Arena Business:

The Rodeo is co-sanctioned by all 3 organizations. The sponsorships are coming in, some personal contacts will need to be made. Aggie will mail sponsor tickets. Eric will know Thursday about the light to supplement Arena lighting for the Rodeo. Brenda will order 2 signs for contestant parking. Concordia Auto Mart will supply a pickup for the barrels. We will plan to put up panels on June 29th. Work nights will continue every Tuesday through June. Bleachers need to be painted and some boards replaced.

 Queen Committee: We have 4 contestants this year. Ticket sales are going well.

Activities Committee:

Reported that The May 22 playday was fun for all. The Equine Dentist, Erin Glassman, will be here June 13th at 10:00am with approximately 12 horses scheduled. Ein will be returning at a later date for those unable to make this session. Charlie will host a Trail Ride June 13 at his place on Gold Road.

Next Meeting will be July 3 at the Arena with the meeting starting at 9:00pm with an ice cream social to follow. The Concordia Fireworks display will start at 10 pm .
